3 months

It is hard to believe that we have been a family of three for 3 months now.  Ashlyn is doing great.  We had a rough couple of weeks not too long ago when she had RSV - for those who are not familiar with this illness it is kind of like bronchitis.  The most scary part was when she would have coughing spells and then be gasping for air because her lungs were so clogged with "gunk."  We are thankful though that it never became serious enough that she had to go to the hospital, but just had to do breathing treatments with her every four hours to help her be able to breathe easier. 

Ashlyn weighs almost 10 lbs, and just graduated into 0 to 3 months size clothes.  She has begun smiling more and more at us, and in the past week she has started cooing.  One thing that Clay loves is that when he goes to daycare to pick her up, the moment that she hears his voice she turns toward it and starts to smile.  She loves her daddy!  She has also discovered her hands in the last week, and they are in her mouth constantly which means there is a large amount of drooling that happens.  Yum!  She has not figured out that sticking her whole fist in her mouth is not such a good idea because it gags her.  She is now sleeping for six hours at a time at night, which makes her mother very happy.  I will now leave you with some of the pictures that we took of her at 3 months.
