10 months

My baby girl is growing up too quickly.  I was sadly reminded by a friend at church the other day that Ashlyn will be 1 in just a couple of months.  Where did the time go?  It seems like just yesterday that I was sleep deprived and couldn't think beyond the next time that she was to be fed.  Here are some things that she is up to:

• She has three teeth (two on bottom, one on top), and three more are on the verge of poking through on the top.
• Officially made the tranistion to 6 month clothes
• When she wants something she can crawl to it quickly.  She especially enjoys following us around the house.  There is no more putting toys down on the ground for her to play with and expecting her to stay there until we return.
• She likes to stand up at the back door, watch the dogs, and bang on the door.
• When she is holding onto the couch she can move herself from side to side.  I believe the correct jargon for this is cruising. 
• She is still taking two good naps a day, and sleeps about 12 hours at night.
• Changing her diaper has become more challenging because she does not want to lay still.
• She makes her parents smile everyday!

This is her lion that she has learned to stand behind and push a little bit at a time.  She also enjoys us putting the seat down so that she can sit on top of it and be pushed around.

Ashlyn climbed into this cabinet in the kitchen one day while Clay was running her bath water.  She was fairly pleased with herself.
